Gardaí are investigating after the body of a man, believed to be aged in his 70s, was found on the ground outside a row of houses in Boherbee this evening at around 7.15pm.
Gardaí sealed off the area opposite Austin Stack Park and the scene is being preserved. A post mortem on Monday will take place to establish the cause of death.
The results of the post mortem will dictate the course of the investigation said a Garda spokesperson.
