‘Meet And Greet’ With Gardaí On National Community Engagement Day

AN Garda Síochána, supported by the IFA and the National Rural Safety Forum, are inviting local communities to a ‘meet and greet’ opportunity at a number of venues in Kerry this Wednesday, April 27.

Local community Gardaí, IFA branch representatives and representatives from community groups involved in the National Rural Safety Forum will engage with the local community.

It is an opportunity for the local community to get to know their local Gardaí and local community representatives. All are welcome.

In Tralee, the event takes place at Kellihers Agri in Ballymullen from 10am to 4pm and in Topline Boyles at Clash from 10am to 4pm.

It takes place in Ballybunion at Supervalu from 10am to 2pm, in Listowel at Supervalu from 10am to 12noon, in Tarbert Village & Centra Ballylongford from 10am to 5pm, in Killarney at Supervalu from 11am to 1pm, in Cahersiveen at Supervalu from 11am to 1pm and in the Kerry Co-Op Store in Dingle from 10am to 4pm.

The day, last held in 2020, will involve communities from across the country meeting with their local Gardaí and community representatives to discuss matters of importance to them such as rural safety, crime prevention and security. The meetings will be informal and will last approximately one hour.
