A big thank you to all at Promed Medical supplies. Based just over the road in Killorglin. The company supplies medical devices, consumables and Servicing to the Primary Care market.

As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility program, Promed wants to support local community groups with much needed PPE. Given the importance of sports to mental health & wellbeing they want to ensure people feel safe attending their training. So Promed have donated facemasks and hand sanitiser to Milltown/Castlemaine Gaa Club.

A big thank you to all at Promed including General Manager Niamh Hogan for calling to juvenile training during the week to donate the equipment to coaching officer Ian Twiss on behalf of the club.

Pieta House Walk/Run 2021:

Walk / Run for Pieta @ Milltown/Castlemaine GAA Club

5pm Friday 25th – 5pm Sunday 27th June

Please contact Danny on 0876536631 if you wish to participate. You can walk whenever you like, at sunrise, sunset, throughout the day or night.

Last year our club members raised almost €4,000 for Pieta House when we were locked down within 2km. We will be allowed to stretch our legs a bit further.

We will be asking people to donate what they can to this important and worthwhile cause and also very importantly get out there have fun and send us your amazing photos again this year.

Pieta House provides a service free of charge and without referral to people most in need and suffering distress from Suicidal thoughts or self harm and to those left bereaved by the same.

Thank you for your support for Pieta House, we will soon have a link available to donate.

KWD County Clean Up:

A huge thank you to everyone who helped out with the KWD clean up, well done to all our club volunteers for joining in the effort. Below are a few photos of some of the club volunteers out having fun collecting in the sun.

There were several more out collecting from our club and 100s of people across the community, well done to everyone involved.

If anyone would be interested in operating a regular rubbish collection around our area please make contact with the club.

Also a big thank you to KWD for their fantastic initiative as well as The Organic Store Milltown, Tooline Castlemaine and KCC for their equipment and assistance.

Field Development Project

 

Our juvenile teams on several evenings will be using training section 2 behind the main goals, this week saw the completion of the safety netting along the roadside.  Another fantastic addition and important addition from a safety perspective, a big thanks to Jerome Twiss, Emmett Spring, David Roche, Willie Hannifin, David O’Connor, Denis O’Riordan, Derek & Ian Twiss for all their hard work in completing this job.
