MINISTER for Education and Kerry TD Norma Foley has announced the increased provision and significant investment in special education for CBS The Green.
Initially the school was approved funding under the Additional Accommodation scheme for the provision of a new technology room and preparation area.
Today, however, Minister Foley announced that the school will also receive funding for a new science lab and prep area as well as two new SEN classrooms.

The funding will also provide SEN interim accommodation for the school while the project is under construction.
Minister Foley said: “I welcome the opportunity to increase the provision for special education at St Mary’s CBS The Green. These two SEN classrooms represent a significant investment in special education in Tralee and is in recognition of the excellent work carried out on the ground by staff at St Marys. This extended provision will ensure that St Mary’s continue to enrich, empower and inspire students in Tralee for years to come.”
