KERRY ETB will be the venue for the launch of an interactive guide to list locations in Kerry to attract filmmakers to shoot here.

Kevin Mulcahy and Ed O’Connor completed a Broadcast Production Course at the National Digital Skills Centre and are behind ‘The Kerry Film Location Guide’.

The digital guide has a wide variety of locations from beaches, mountains, schools and churches to quarries, a tattoo parlour and farms.

The aim of the guide is to promote Kerry film tourism in the county with the tag line “Getting Kerry Camera ready”.

“We have a good number of private properties on the guide and we are hoping if anyone has any property that they think would make a location for a film to contact us to be included on the guide,” said Kevin.

The guide will will be regularly updated so even though they are launching it on Friday, they will still be adding new locations all the time.

“The launch is open to everybody, but we would like to get property owners who might have an interest in being included to come along,” added Kevin.

The launch will be starting at 12noon until 2pm in the National Digital skills centre in the ETB in Monavalley.
