Little ‘Mini Medics’ graduates with course providers Coral Solutions at Oakview Childcare Centre on Tuesday.
THE specialised children’s First Aid programme ‘Mini Medics’, has arrived in Munster and was launched in Tralee this week.
Tralee-based Coral Solutions are the first Training Provider to bring the initiative, which was first launched in the UK and offers children a basic introduction to First Aid and Defibrillation and trains them up to be Mini First Aiders or ‘Mini Medics’.
The programme is adapted to suit children of different ages, with the age groups broken into 5-6 year olds, 7-9 year olds and 10-12 year olds.
The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminologies and is educational and fun. A certificate of training is issued by the Mini Medics Course Provider, Coral Solutions.

Commenting on this, Cormac Sertutxa of CORAL Solutions said; “We are delighted to launch this fantastic programme. We have recently held a pilot programme with the afterschool children at Oakview Village Childcare and the feedback has been excellent from staff, children and families. We have already received bookings from other schools and will hold Summer Camps over the summer months.”
