The launch of the NEWKD Hotel Recruitment Fair.
NEWKD (North East West Kerry Development) are hosting a free, interactive, Hotel Recruitment event on Wednesday, March 25, which will include The Rose Hotel, The Ballygarry House Hotel and Spa, The Brandon Hotel, The Wilde Hotel Ballybunion, The Marine Hotel Ballybunion, Ballyroe Heights Hotel, The Ashe Hotel, Manor West Hotel.
This event could be best described as a ‘Speed-dating Recruitment fair’ for the prospective Employer and Job Seeker in a one-to-one informal setting.
It is a “no CV” day that aims to bring people face-to-face with potential employers. Organiser Eibhlis Hanrahan of NEWKD says; “What we’re aiming to do is match people with people. Curriculum Vitae’s are a list of your learned skills but do not illustrate qualities such as motivation, enthusiasm and attitude etc.”

Closing date for registration is Friday, March 13. “Our aim is to find out which areas candidates are interested in so they can meet personnel at the relevant hotels and departments they may be best suited to”, said Eibhlis.
“This event gives potential employees the chance to meet with a large number of employers over the course of the day and gives both a chance to get to know each other in advance of entering into a formal work situation” says co-ordinator Louise Lyons.
