HARD hats and hi-vis jackets were in abundance at The Huddle Bar on Saturday night but there was very little work going on.
No, it was definitely playtime for ladies on Avril Ryan’s hen night. The Shanakill woman was told by friends and family members to show up at the Strand Street hostelry and was promptly handed the outfit to try on.
Avril is getting married to building contractor Fergal Burke from Donegal in St Brendan’s Church next month, with the reception to be held in the Listowel Arms.

It’s the fourth time the couple have tried getting married over the past two years, due to COVID scuppering their plans.
Avril and Fergal are living in Leeds in the UK — where Avril is an art teacher at Leeds College of Art — with their ten month old son Teddy.
Avril was certainly given a great night out with karaoke, a few drinks and plenty of laughs shared with her besties.
