LAST month’s Darkness Into Light Tralee event was another resounding success and a local bank branch got on board with the fundraising.

As well as staff taking part in the event, Permanent TSB on Castle Street held a coffee morning the day before the walk to raise extra funds.

Those visiting were treated to tea/coffee and goodies in exchange for a donation to DIL/Pieta House and in the end they raised €411.

Members of Darkness Into Light Tralee and Con O’Connor of Pieta House were presented with the cheque on Thursday morning.

“We were delighted to help Darkness Into Light with this fundraiser. We support different charities in town and we’re happy to present them with the funds this morning,” said Marie Nelligan, Manager of Permanent TSB, Tralee.

Con O’Connor of Pieta House and Ann Leahy O’Shea, Chairperson of DIL Tralee, thanked the management and staff of Permanent TSB for their efforts.
