PHOTOS: Chain Gang Gathers To Help Out Two Charities At Table Quiz

THOUSANDS of euro were raised for two charities at a table quiz in The Meadowlands Hotel by a local cycling club.

The Chain Gang held the event on Friday night for Comfort For Chemo Kerry and the Kerry Hospice Foundation, with a raffle of a bike owned by the late Nicky Fitzgerald raising €3,000 alone.

Nicky was a hugely popular member of the club who passed away in October of 2o18 after a battle with cancer and his bike was raffled off at €10 a ticket with 300 sold.

Apart from the bike raffle, there were many spot prizes donated by The Meadowlands, Barry’s Tea, Spar Oakpark/Caherslee, Power’s Travel, Rocca Sports and Ger O’Halloran Construction.

With over 180 members, the event was well-supported by members and it was a fantastic success with a final figure of funds raised yet to be totalled. Scroll down for photos…
