THERE was no holding back at a very entertaining night of boxing matches at the The Ashe Hotel on Saturday in aid of Recovery Haven.
Organised by St Margaret’s Boxing Club, the event saw members of the club taking to the ring, with two of the bouts being contested blindfolded. There was 14 fights in all and they were all keenly contested with some participants coming from the Legacy Club in Cork for the bouts.
There was a big crowd in the room to cheer on the fighters, some of whom were new to the sport. Amy ‘Angel Face’ Crean and Conagh ‘Cutie Pie’ Forbes fought each other blindfolded, as did Dea ‘The Devil’ Power and Celia ‘Scissor Hands’ Keane.
Well done to St Margaret’s Boxing Club for organising the night which raised much needed funds for Recovery Haven. Scroll down for photos…
