STUDENTS at Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí have certainly been getting out and about this month climbing a mountain and visiting Paris.
Forty TY students climbed Mount Brandon on Friday, October 7, and had a great day. “We were extremely lucky with the weather, very cold at the top. “It was a great bonding experience for the students,” says teacher Fearghus Mac Muiris.

It was the turn of the Fifth Years to travel a bit further when on Saturday morning last 50 Fifth year students and four teachers from Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí, left Tralee to go to the city of light, Paris for a four day trip.
Their busy itinerary included a visit to the Louvre Museum, Stade de France, the Eiffel Tower, a cruise on the Seine, a tour of Chateaux de Versailles and of course a shopping excursion to Aeroville, the ultimate shopping experience.

A trip to Paris would not be complete without a visit to Eurodisney where students and teachers alike availed of the opportunity “to let their hair down.”
“The students got a real flavour of the unique culture and rich historical features of Paris and thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience ” said group leader Karen Ní Ártaigh.
