THERE are easier ways to work up an appetite for Christmas dinner…and warmer ways too!
The weather was dry but very cold for the hundreds of people who took part in the 68th Christmas Day swim at Fenit on Wednesday.
They were in great spirits as usual though as they lined up at 12 noon for the three dashes into the water and the pain/shock/joy as they hit the Atlantic for the first dip was a sight to behold.

They made two more trots into the sea as a biting wind swept over the beach full of participants of all ages and they were cheered on by hundreds of family members and friends watching on.
The event was in aid of Fenit RNLI who organised the event with Tralee Bay Swimming Club and it set everyone up for the turkey and ham later! Scroll down for photos…
