THE First Phase of the Consultation process for the Denny Site was announced this morning.
The old plant at the Island of Geese finally closed its doors in December 2008 but now there are plans to regenerate the area and the public are being asked for submissions (story on this to follow).
As part of the press briefing, photos were also released of the inside of the plant eight years after it closed. The plant was first opened in 1922 and taken over by Denny’s in 1943.
It shows how parts of the inside of the property have deteriorated but some areas, like the canteen, look in relatively ok condition. These should stir memories among the past workers. Scroll down for photos by Domnick Walsh…
