Ballymac were no match for a Kerins O’Rahillys side who finished their season with some silverware by winning the Lee Strand Town Championship Final at Connolly Park on Sunday afternoon.
It was O’Rahillys second successive town championship final win over the same opposition who struggled against a near full strength Blues outfit, but were missing David Moran and Tommy Walsh.
The town side were ahead thanks to a Padraig Griffin goal in the first minute and by the 20 minute mark they were 2-4 to 0-1 to the good, the other goal coming from Barry John Keane.
Cian Sayers, Cormac Coffey (2) and Gearoid Savage added further points to leave the scores, 2-8 to 0-4 at the break.
There was no let up after the break with points from Rory Molloy, Ryan Carroll and another Barry John goal leaving a 3-10 to 0-4 soon after the restart.
Sub Gearoid Dillane and Ross O’Callaghan nabbed further goals while others racked up the points. Ballymac got a late consolation goal which made little difference to the margin.
