BRONNADH 20 Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge agus 11 Teastas i nDioplóma sa Ghaeilge ar fhoireann Chomhairle Contae Chiarraí Dé Máirt an 13ú Nollaig 2016. Tá Comhairle Contae Chiarraí tiomanta chun dheiseanna a chothú agus a fhorbairt do mhuintir Chiarraí chun a gcuid gnó a dhéanamh leo i gceachtar de dhá theanga oifigiúil an Stáit.
Ag labhairt di as Gaeilge, dúirt Moira Morrell, Príomh-Fheidhmeannach na Comhairle Contae ag an searmanas “Is seoda luachmhara iad an Ghaeilge agus an Ghaeltacht, tobar na teangan do phobal na hÉireann agus don Diaspóra ar fud an domhain, tobar a chuireann le cáilíocht ár mbeatha, le mórtas ceantair agus le Ciarraí mar cheann scríbe turasóireachta. Mar Údarás Áitiúil, tá ról tábhachtach ag Comhairle Contae Chiarraí fís aontaithe a chothú chun ár dteanga náisiúnta agus ár gcultúr a fhorbairt agus a chur chun cinn ar mhaithe le gach éinne”.

TWENTY Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge and 11 Certificates in Irish (Diploma) were presented to Kerry County Council staff members at a presentation ceremony on Tuesday.
Kerry County Council are committed to creating and developing the opportunity for the people of Kerry to conduct their business with the Council in either official language of the State.
Kerry County Council’s Chief Executive Officer, Moira Murrell said at the ceremony; “The Irish language and our Gaeltacht areas are important jewels in the Kingdom of Kerry, a well spring for the Irish people and our Diaspora worldwide, that enhances our quality of life, our pride of place and our county as a tourist destination. As the Local Authority, we have an important role in Kerry County Council to create a common vision for the promotion and development of our culture and national language for the benefit of all”.
