THE Kingdom Wheelblasters Hosted round 5 of the IWA-sport junior wheelchair basketball blitz at the John Mitchels complex on Sunday with over 60 children from five clubs all over Ireland competing.

The Wheelblasters who were set up just over two years ago, were hosting the event for the first time, and took on Carlow swifts, Shannonside Stealers, NI Knights and their Munster rivals Rebel Wheelers from Cork in a fantastic day of sport.

Members from Tralee Warriors called to show their support, and Kieran Donaghy possibly gave them an unfair advantage when he played with the team for the last Quarter against the Steelers.

Chairman Roy Guerin, Peter Hanley and Don O Donoghue from KSBHA presented a Cheque of €3,000 to Mairead Hickey and Tadhg Buckley from the Wheelblasters.

This will go towards the purchase of sports wheelchairs. The remainder of IWA-Sport junior blitz calendar goes Limerick on 12th March, Cork on 2nd of April and IWA, Clontarf on 14th of May.
