TRALEE photographer, John Cleary, saw his book of images from Kerry life in the 1980s launched in The Imperial Hotel on Tuesday night.
The Ireland v Denmark game might have affected the turnout but John was delighted to see friends and family there to wish him well with ‘T’was Only Like Yesterday’.

John spent the past year trawling through his archive of images from the 1980s with sporting, religious, social and political life all contained therein.
It follows on from John’s last book, ‘Through The Lens’ released last October which proved hugely popular and featured images mainly taken in the 1970s.
In Tralee, the book is available from O’Mahony’s, Polymath and the Kerry Book Shop, Clearys Photography on Russell Street and the Quality Framing Company on Matt Talbot Road. It is priced €20. Scroll down for photos…
