John Cleary

JOHN Cleary’s new book ‘As Time Goes By’ is a wonderful collection of photographs from the 1990s in Tralee and Kerry.

It’s the third book in as many years from the well-known Tralee photographer, having previously captured the 1970s and 1980s in ‘Through The Lens’ and ‘Twas Only Like Yesterday’ respectively.

As John says in the book; “Hopefully this book will bring back many happy memories to the people of Kerry. Many of the people have long since departed this earth but my dream and hope is that this production will keep their memory alive.”

The book is a treasure trove of memories including images from Christmas swims, debs balls, Tralee Musical Society productions, sport, Tidy Towns, social action, weddings, communions and confirmations and much, much more.

It’s a great gift for Christmas and can be bought from bookstores all over town and from the Quality Framing shop on Matt Talbot Road. John’s three books can also be bought for the bargain price of €50. Scroll down for a couple of images from the book…
