WHOSE backing band was ‘The Blackhearts’? Which band had a hit with ‘The Final Countdown’?
These and many more questions were answered by the many music fans of all ages who turned up at the Manor West Hotel on Friday night for a special music quiz in aid of the Kerry Hospice and Tralee Palliative Care Unit.

The organiser, Terence Crean, explained his reasons for putting on the quiz.
“My aunt’s husband passed away some years ago and he would have been cared for [in the unit]. My aunt was grateful for the care he received and I would also have friends who speak highly of the Tralee Palliative Care Unit,” said Terence.
Terence made up the questions himself with up to 25 rounds made out. However these were whittled down to 12 by the tables themselves, with the lowest performing table after each round getting to choose the next genre or round of questions.
Over 20 tables took part and at €40 a table and a raffle for a number of spot prizes, a lot of money was raised for a great cause.
