TRANSITION Year students from the Presentation Secondary School, Tralee, showcased their Enterprise Projects at AIB on Wednesday morning.
The students set up mini businesses which are in operation in the school once a week. They are mainly selling items (buns, cookies, magnets, pens etc) and some are showcasing blogs and websites.
The promotion was mainly organised by the school’s Build a Bank team, who are competing at the Regional Finals in Cork next week.
One of the student businesses is called The Chef Hat. It is a food blog, giving simple recipes to help students cook for themselves. The group is comprised of Sadhbh Gilgallon, Michelle Doody, Lucy Murphy and Zara Riaz. They have been selected for the Student Enterprise Awards on Friday, March 31.
Another group from the school were also selected for the Student Enterprise Awards for their business, ‘Caca Collector’. It is a harness that wraps around the rear end of your dog, collecting any of the dog’s waste into a disposable bag which can then be thrown away.
The other groups ranged from fitness blogs, like The Fitness Freak, to baking projects like ‘Cookie Crunch’. They also sold their products on the day at the bank. Scroll down for photos…
