WITH the Christmas shopping period now in full swing two local primary schools went out and about to spread a bit of festive cheer for shoppers.
Out caroling on Wednesday afternoon, were Scoil Eoin who went to Manor West, while Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn set themselves up in the Mall.
“We’re just out entertaining the crowds for this annual event,” said Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn principal, Cáit Uí Chonchúir.
“Thankfully we can do it. Last year we had to cancel because of the rain, so we’re delighted this year we can come down and the kids can show off their talents,” she said.
Meanwhile sixth class pupils from Scoil Eoin headed over to Manor West Retail Park. The sixth class pupils really got shoppers into festive mood.
