THERE were winners alright in the style stakes at Listowel on Friday as McElligotts Honda Ladies Day drew thousands to the Island once again.

Jill Duggan, from Killarney, was declared the overall winner of the McElligotts Honda Ladies Day, at the Listowel Harvest Racing Festival (Friday 15th of September), scooping the first prize of a stylish Honda Jazz for a year plus a cheque for €3,000.

Jill wore a Heidi Higgins turquoise dress  (that she got from her mother, Mary O’Donoghue from Glenflesk), with a headpiece from MacBees Killarney and shoes from Frank Coffey’s in Killarney. She said it was an outfit put together quickly as she only decided early this week to go to the Races.

Jill is married ten years to Patrick with two young children, Lilly and Ross.

“I’ve never won anything like this before, I’m absolutely ecstatic,” said Jill, who currently drives a Ford Kuga but is now looking forward to a year in the Honda Jazz. She has a beauty salon called Killarney Toning and Beauty Studios.

First runner up was Joann Murphy from Kilgarvan in a stylish two piece by Tina Griffin with matching Carol Kennelly headpiece, and received a cheque for €1,000.
