BLENNERVILLE National School and the Run The Kingdom teamed for their annual road race together on Sunday and what a great morning it was.
Hundreds of participants young and old came out in Blennerville on sunny day where after the race they were treated to a barbecue along with fun and games for the kids.
The 10k part of the race was part of a Run The Kingdom championship where there will be points given out for the fastest finishers.
Coming in first in the men’s was, Michael O’Regan, in a time of 00:34:46. He was followed by Stephen Griffin and Billy O’Brien, in second and third places respectively.
In the woman’s event, Elaine O’Keeffe, proved victorious in a time of 00:45:23 with Anne Kelliher in second and Linda O’Callaghan coming third.
