IT’S rare that Kerry fans outnumber opposition supporters by about three to one in a neutral venue, but that was the case on Saturday as thousands made the trip to Thurles to support the ladies side against Mayo.
While some were stopping off on the way to Dublin for the weekend to support the men, the majority made the long trip there and back to the Kingdom to show that the amazing atmosphere the Kerry side experienced at Austin Stack Park two weeks ago against Meath wasn’t a once off.
They easily emulated that support with a display of colour and noise which surely must have inspired the team to victory.
This team deserves every bit as much support as the men, so hopefully many thousands more will travel to Croke Park in two weeks time to cheer them on against the Dubs. Scroll down for photos…
