IT looks like the craic has begun in earnest in north Kerry as racing and football fever has combined to create an electric atmosphere.
These were the scenes captured by photographer Don MacMonagle in The Ocean Bar in Ballybunion on Wednesday as Paddy the Horse paid a visit to the hostelry, owned by the Purtill family, for a pint.
He was joined by jockey Mickey Jones with Kerry fan Linda Daly and Dublin fan Emma Carr who were enjoying the banter during what is always a busy week for the seaside resort.
The racing came back to Listowel today after the previous two days were cancelled and the crowds are expected to be massive on Friday for ladies day.
I wouldn’t have a flutter on Paddy though, looks like he’s on the sauce for the week.
