AS part of Kerry County Council’s gradual resumption of services, the Council’s Planning Offices in Áras an Chontae will reopen on Monday, May 25.

The opening of the Planning Offices to the public will be by appointment only, and customers are advised that full planning services continue to be available by telephone, email and online.

Members of staff are available to answer queries by telephone or email, while online services include viewing planning files and making submissions on planning applications.

“The opening of the Planning Offices in Kerry County Council is the first step in the phased re-opening of Council offices,” Director of Planning Michael Scannell explained.

“Attendance at the Planning Office is by appointment only, and all visits will require compliance with social distancing guidelines and public health requirements.”

Following the publication of the Government’s Roadmap for Reopening Society and Business, Kerry County Council began a rollout of services and work programmes on a gradual basis. This saw the phased resumption of outdoor works programmes last week, with further staff continuing to return next week.

“All essential services are being continually reviewed to ensure compliance with Government protocols to protect staff and members of the public,” Mr Scannell stated.
