Acting as a kind of AIB sub-office in Presentation Secondary School, ‘The Blossom Bank’ lodged around €18,000 from their fellow students who opened accounts with them in the school.

Around 300 schools from all over the country took part in the initiative.

After submitting a business plan and making their way through the regional finals in Cork, Presentation was one of six – and the only student bank from Kerry –  who made it to the national finals held in the RDS in Dublin in April.

At the national finals, students had to showcase their banks by giving a presentation on stage in the RDS in front of an audience and girls excelled coming in second place.
