TEAMS from Kerry, Cork and even New York will contest the Oaklands Daybreak Rose Cup Under 13 Boys Football Tournament  during the 2014 Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Now in its sixth year, this competition is a prestigious event on the GAA Juvenile calendar in Ireland and it will be organised by Coiste Trá Lí under the banner of the Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Plans for this year’s event are at an advanced stage but it will see 16 teams from Kerry, Cork and New York battling it out for the Rose Cup and Rose Shield.

Each team will play three games of 20 minutes and the top teams will compete for the Rose Cup and Rose Shield. These will be presented to the winning captains by the 2013 Rose of Tralee, Haley O’Sullivan and the proprietor of Oaklands Daybreak on the Listowel Road, James O’Donoghue at the Na Gaeil CLG pitch.

The matches will get underway at 10am on Saturday 16th August at two Tralee GAA venues – Kerins O’Rahilly’s and Na Gaeil.
