WELL last week it was Paul Galvin and journalist Fergal Keane gracing our TV screens and this week there will another Kerry link to the ‘Saturday Night With Miriam’ show.
The famed journalist, Miriam O’Callaghan (whose father hails from Kerry), will welcome Rose of Tralee Elysha Brennan and a whole host of other Roses to the RTE studios tonight at 9.30pm.
Elysha’s predecessor, Maria Walsh, will also be on the programme, as well as past winners Brenda Hyland, presenter Daithi Ó Sé, RTE presenter and Rose of Tralee judge Mary Kennedy, the son of the 1988 Boston Rose who is now an escort James Johnston, the first Rose of Tralee winner Alice O’Sullivan and the contestants in this year’s competition.
It’s a great plug for the festival and the town before the Roses arrive for the start of the festival on Tuesday evening.
