WITH summer passing by without many events taking place, those of you with a Honda 50 or classic motorbike might be interested in this day out next weekend.

The West Kerry Honda 50 and Classic Bike Run takes place on Sunday, August 16 from 12 noon and will see participants head to the wilds of West Kerry for a scenic day out on the open road, all in aid of the Kerry Hospice Foundation.

“We’ll be taking in the best of the West Kerry scenery, heading over the Conor Pass and visiting various locations on the peninsula, so dust off your Hondas!” said organiser Maura Sullivan, herself a Honda 50 owner.

“I’ve had enquiries about the event from all the country, so it should be a great day out. People can donate €20 when they register and anyone who wants to donate can do so that morning also,” she said.

Registration takes place from 10.30am to 11.30am at Blennerville Windmill, before the bikes head west at 12 noon. For more information, call Maura on 087-6441566.
