A COURSE in Introduction to Digital Journalism, Podcasting & Radio will begin at the end of August at Kerry College’s Monavalley Campus in Tralee.

Delivered in partnership with Radio Kerry, this course is for those considering progression to the Digital Journalism & Radio Broadcasting course.

Course attendees will study Media Analysis, Radio Programme Production and Sound Engineering and Production.

On successful completion, learners will have the skills, knowledge and competencies to work independently and under supervision in a range of radio production environments, both live and pre-recorded including local, regional and national radio and/or to progress to further and/or higher education and training.

The full-time course is eight weeks in duration and begins on Monday, September 26.

Applicants must be 16+ of age on entry to the course. A Leaving Cert, LCVP, LCA or QQI Level 4 Major Award is essential. Them ature applicant routee available for applicants aged 23+.
Applicants must have competent written and spoken English (CEFR B1 or Higher). Non-EU/EEA applicants must have permission to work in Ireland.

On completion, a QQI Level 5 Minor Award Certificate in Radio Programme Production will be presented to graduates.
