SAINT John of God Kerry Services is recruiting for a position to provide coordination and supervision of the implementation of the organisation’s person-centred approach to service delivery, in line with HSE National Framework for Person-Centred Planning in Services for Persons with a Disability and New Directions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality improvement in person-centred services for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The ‘Person-Centred Approach Coordinator Day Services’ position is a One Year Fixed Term Contract 39HR/Week GRADE VI.

The role is as follows:

• Coordinate and supervise the implementation of the organisations person centred approach to service delivery in collaboration with the Day Services Management Team;

• Monitor all auditing & review systems to ensure compliance with the organisations Person Centred Approach policy, the HSE National Framework for Person-Centred Planning in Services for Persons with a Disability and New Directions;

• Support the identification of compliance gaps in collaboration with the Day Services Coordinating Team and/or Programme Manager;

• Ensure that Person Centred Plans are actively managed and reviewed across all day programmes in collaboration with the Day Services Coordinating Team;

• Review and development of person centred approach strategies, documentation and tools for use across day services and relevant platforms as deemed appropriate requested by the Programme Manager;

• Identify, develop and deliver education and training in New Directions and Person-Centred Approach for day service staff; Mentoring sessions to improve the quality of Person Centred Plan in day services.

• To collate, maintain and critique relevant data to ensure learning and continuous quality improvement;

The ideal candidate:

• Has relevant experience in the Disability or Social Care Services sector for a minimum of 3 years;

• Has a relevant 3rd level (QQI L8) qualification in Health/Social Care Management or equivalent;

• Has strong knowledge, leadership and experience of the HSE National Framework for Person Centred Planning for Persons with a Disability and New Directions Interim Policy

• Demonstrates evidence of continuous quality improvement in person centred planning;

• Is experienced in coordinating audits & compiling accurate reports as required by management;

• Has a clear comprehension of implementation strategy and future direction for PCA in adult day services;

• Has flexible work practices; excellent interpersonal, communication, ICT & organisational skills.
