There was no winner of our Club Lotto Jackpot of €6800 on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 13, 14, 25 & 29. The five €30 consolation prizes went to:

Juvenile Academy
U5’s: A great crowd of girls and boys enjoyed the cooler weather this week and really put in excellent effort. Kicking, agility and pick up skill stations followed fun warmups and fun games to finish.
Kiera O’Shea showed super determination and intensity to win player of the week.
U7’s: A great turn out for training this morning ahead of our go games next week.
We played plenty of football and went through skills needed for games.

U8 Girls: Kieran and Labhraidh ran a high energy session with plenty of enthusiasm after the recent match last weekend. The girls worked on kick passing in drills & small-sided games. Keep up the practice for more matches to come girls. We will play John Mitchells at home for under 8 and under 10 on Saturday 14th August. The trophy will be back for player of the week next Sunday at training.
U9’s: We had a good season this morning, the boys have clearly been practicing because their skills are improving hugely, and we practiced our soloing, kicking and one-on-one attacking/defending also which was very competitive. The game was a cracker with the yellows drawing level with the final kick of the game by the excellent Darragh Flahive. Darragh Sheehan, Tiarnán Scanlan and player of the week Jace Flynn who scored some great goals. Keep it up lads.
U10 Girls: Fiona took the girls for a skills training session with 10 girls working on solos & kick passing. This included games of solo tag, kick passing games and attack & defence drills. There was lots of running and positional awareness in the match with Alannah O’Mahony showing her practice paying off & Saorlaith Costello really improving in kicking confidence. The player of the week with great effort and enthusiasm throughout all our sessions and matches was Ailbhe Hennessy! Very well done & keep up the practice!!
U11’s: Our u11 side had a break from the Go games last week as our match against Tarbert was postponed. The focus this week was on preparing for our upcoming game against Asdee-Ballylongford. We had a training session on Friday evening and Sunday morning, it was a bit cooler than the week earlier so we were able to get our players working hard!
We started both sessions with some drills to work on accurate punt kicking and technique for the over-head catch. We followed these with a practice game where only hand-passing was allowed. We want our players to work on their hand pass accuracy and improve the speed they move the ball in play.
We finished the session with a full game and we could see the players are getting better at finding players in space and passing to a team-mate that is in a better position to score. Rylan, James, Charlie and Paddy impressed the coaches with their work rate and courage on the ball. Keep up the practice at home, especially the solo and high catch.
The Go games resume this Thursday evening away to Asdee-Ballylingford. Training will resume on Sunday at 12 noon at St Pat’s club grounds in Blennerville V92 RH98. A reminder to parents that all players are to have a gum shield and to wear it at matches and training and to register on www.foireann.ie
U12 Girls: We had 8 under 12s girls this morning on a beautiful morning in St Pats
We did a few fun drills with the girls first, solo-crazy solo, hook kick-bulls eye & side to side charge -charge and lift, we added a number to each girl on either team to make it harder to Concentrate, we also ask each team mate to lie flat on da ground before been called to go ..we ended with a fun match with only hand passing before scoring for the first 10 mins..
I can see each girl in our group enjoying every session we have and I must say these girls are improving with skill each week and impressing us as coaches every week

U13’s: St Pats 4 -08 v 1 -07 Asdee/Ballydonoghue/Ballylongford/Clounmacon
Well done and a fantastic performance of courage, teamwork and superb skill from everyone. Ben O’Leary played a captain’s part and an opportunistic scoring blitz from razor sharp Jamie Bowler got us over the line. Special mention to Tommy & Hugh Costello, Stephen Enright & James Daly from the U 11 squad who stepped up and showed the way with intelligent play.
Jack Costello, Gary Scollard, Darragh Murphy, Luke Passway worked hard throughout the game and linked superbly with the pace and footwork of Conor Keane, Jack Flahive, Conor Sheehan and Fionn Carmody.
We are fortunate to have a goalkeeper with fantastic hands like Ródhan Culloo who has excellent vision on kick outs. Speedy recovery to the lion-hearted Jack Cashman who sustained an ankle injury v early in the game. The scores were level at the 2nd water-break but our stars made up their minds that we were going to win and they did it in style and gained a well-deserved victory. We look forward to having all players back from injury & holidays for our next game.

U15’s: We trained last Wednesday evening as well as Sunday afternoon in preparation for our next competition which is the U15 Kellihers Garage Central Region competition, but attendances were low for both sessions. It is important that players turn up for training to improve their skills.
The Central Region U15 competition starting this Wednesday, 4 August. We are grouped in Division 4 along with Annacaul/Lispole, Dingle, Ballymacelligott B and Austin Stacks B. Our first match will be at home to Austin Stacks B on Wednesday, 4 August at 7pm. Best of luck to all involved.

Our U17’s couldn’t play Laune Rangers in the last round of the Central Region U17 Competition at home last Thursday due to insufficient numbers.

St Pats 0-05 Glenflesk 1-13
We ended our league campaign for the year with a loss to Glenflesk last Thursday evening in Blennerville.
Playing with an understrength team and under dry but slippery conditions, we never got to grips with the pace of the game and it took a minute for Dara Roche to get his team on the score sheet converting a free which was followed by another point from Killian O’Sullivan after receiving a cross-field pass from Danny Lucey, who was responsible for their next 2 points.
At this stage, Glenflesk had total control of all areas of the pitch, winning our kickouts despite playing a robust brand of football which we had no ideas to counter. The only goal of the match came after 11 minutes when Alan Murphy intercepted a St Pats ball and carried the ball unchallenged for about 40m through our defence to shoot past Paudie Bailey. Time and again, we were getting turned over as the away side defended and attacked in droves. Dara Roche converted a free late in the half to leave the half-time scores at 0-0 to 1-7.
The second half was a carbon copy of the first in terms of scorers with Dara Roche converting a free and Killian O’Sullivan further stretching their lead to 12 points. Captain Gary Savage put us on the score board after 20 minutes, pointing from close range and Eoin Greaney converted a free a minute later and added another just after the second water-break. Shane Jordan scored the point of the match when he dummy soloed and pointed with the inside of his boot to register our fourth straight point. Fergal O’Brien also converted a free late on, but Glenflesk’s Emmett Finan pointed a minute later as they ran away comfortable winners.
The defeat did not harm our position on the league table, nor Glenflesk’s as both teams had already secured Division 3 status for next year.
