Juvenile Academy

U6: Well done to Seamus Hingston, Jayden Sinnott, Thomas Colivet and Paddy Flynn who put in a great training session last Sunday morning but a huge well done to Harry Maguire who received our player of the week trophy by showing great skill and determination despite it being his first training session. Keep up the good work.

U8: Isn’t it great that we have seven sessions of the Academy completed already this year with great attendance and participation in all of the sessions ….so well done to all of the under 8 footballers and thanks to their parents for getting them to these sessions.

It’s important to do some practice at home during the week so this week we want you to practice one of the exercises we did on Sunday last: just throw the ball into the air, clap your hands behind your back and catch the ball on the way down. Try to practice for at least 10 minutes two days during the week.

Well done to Ben Deegan who was awarded with the Player of the Week trophy last Sunday, keep up the great effort at these sessions Ben. Great effort was put in by Ródhan Culloo, Sam Jones, Sarah Greaney and Aoife Kennedy…it’s great to see. In the jumping and catching exercise Niamh Murphy, James Daly, Rían Flynn, Chloe Passway and Eddie Hayes showed how it should be done.

A very warm welcome to Nicodem and Patryk Swierczek to their first of what we hope will be many sessions with the St. Pats Academy.

U10: St Pats under 10’s Academy were training again last Sunday in the Pres hall. There was a great turnout of players all eager to learn the skills. It was great to see all the players putting in a great effort especially Kayla O’Connor, Ben Jones, Aiden Hayes and Luke Passway. Well done to player of the week Grainne Breen keep up the good work. It’s important everyone keeps practicing their skills at home during the week. We are back training again Sunday morning same time 11am and same location.

U12: Our boys and girls returned to our astro pitch last Sunday morning, where we had our largest numbers so far this year. Everyone had an hour of drills, fun and games despite the cloudy and misty weather. Training continues on our astro pitch on Sunday at 11.30am. Please don’t forget your gum shields.

U14: Training continues on Thursday at 6.30pm on our astro turf.

U16: Training continues on Friday from 6pm to 7pm on our astro turf

Minors: Our MFL Round 1 League match away to St Michael’s-Foilmore scheduled for last weekend had to be postponed due to Tralee CBS’ involvement in the Corn Ui Mhuire semi final replay. An update on rescheduling this fixture will be given at a later date.
