YOU might have noticed it has not been a nice morning weatherwise!
There’s been heavy rain in Kerry overnight and early this morning and Met Eireann issued a Status Yellow Thunderstorm warning for Munster, Donegal and Connacht in effect since 8.30am.
There’ll be further heavy showers and thunderstorms coupled with strong and gusty southwesterly winds and possible falls of hail.
Disruption is expected including spot flooding and dangerous road conditions, especially near coasts. The warning ends at 9pm tonight, but the heaviest of the rain will pass by Kerry by around 7pm according to the Met Eireann rainfall radar on their website.
