Status Yellow Wind And Rain Warnings For Kerry

A STATUS Yellow Rain warning is in place for Kerry with a Wind warning on the way later tonight.

Met Éireann issued the rain warning this morning for the county and it will be in place until 6am on Friday. They are forecasting heavy showers which will be prolonged or thundery at times with local hail and some spot flooding is likely.

Meanwhile a Status Yellow wind warning will take effect from 11pm tonight until 4am on Friday. Met Eireann is forecasting strong and very gusty west to northwest winds.

Possible impact are difficult travelling conditions and wave overtopping. The good news though is Friday should be a mainly dry day in the Tralee area, with showers arriving later tomorrow night.

At this stage, it looks like Saturday will also be a dry day, but again showers will arrive later in the evening. Sunday looks like a showery day.
