MET Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Wind warning for Kerry and Cork to take effect tonight.
It will come into effect at 8pm tonight. There will be particularly strong west to northwest winds expected for a time this evening and tonight with gusts in excess of 100 km/h. The warning is valid until 4am on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, there will be persistent showers later this afternoon and overnight with the rain clearing for a pleasant Tuesday afternoon, but wet weather will return on Tuesday night.
