Voucher are being distributed all over the county this week.
KERRY Tourism Industry Federation together with Kerry County Council are inviting the people of Kerry to staycate in the Kingdom and give their home county’s tourism industry a vital shot in the arm.
To add to the appeal of a Kerry staycation, 56,000 households throughout the kingdom will receive €100 worth of discount vouchers which are redeemable in registered accommodation outlets right across the county.
Hotels, B&Bs, guesthouses, self-catering homes and caravan and camping sites all over the county have signed up to accept the vouchers which give a discount of up to 10% off the cost of accommodation.

Kerry Tourism Industry Federation Chairperson, Pat O’Leary said: “Now is the time to share our love for our county with our children, family and friends – to revisit a childhood haunt, to rediscover a favourite memory or to explore a corner of the county that you have never seen. The tourism industry is a vital cog in our local economy and staycations are an effective and sustainable way to support it during these challenging times.”
The Mayor of Kerry, Cllr. Niall Kelleher, warmly welcomed the new initiative: “As hotels and the hospitality industry re-open for business, these vouchers provide the people of Kerry with a very simple and effective way in which to support local employers and local jobs, thereby contributing to the rebooting of the Kerry economy. Kerry County Council is delighted to support and be associated with this initiative which complements the inter-agency approach to reopening the county in a safe and phased manner for the benefit of locals and visitors alike. I urge everyone in Kerry to give it their support.”
The Kerry Staycation Vouchers are being distributed across Kerry this week by An Post. The full list of accommodation providers partaking in this initiative can be viewed on www.discoverkerry.com
The vouchers are valid until April 30, 2021 and are redeemable by booking directly with the accommodation outlet.
