THE annual CBS The Green 5k Fun Run has just started but it won’t end until Sunday.
With the usual gathering cancelled for obvious reasons, The Parents Council has decided to organise a Virtual 5km run.
The run can take place any time between now and this coming Sunday and will be operated by ‘My Run Results’. You can register via the link below, adult entries are €10, under 18’s €5 and a family entry is €20.
If you live in town, you can pick any one of the well-known routes around Tralee; out by the canal and back down by the Aquadome or three times around the Town Park, or download one of the many apps which tell you when you have completed a 5k.

My Run Results gives you the chance to upload your time to see how you compared to other participants.
Funds raised will go towards general school activities and a portion of funds will also be donated to JIGSAW Kerry. Jigsaw offer a free mental health support service for 12 to 25 year olds living, working and studying in Kerry.
The school has already excelled in trying to keep up the mental and physical fitness of students, with weekly online training sessions and exercise challenge for students.
The Parents Council want to keep this great tradition of sport and exercise going, as well as providing a chance for the school community to ‘come together while apart’.
The fundraising run is available to anyone who is interested and would like to support CBS The Green & Jigsaw Kerry.
