MET Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Thunder warning for Munster for this afternoon and evening.
Thunderstorms will likely develop, but due to the localised nature of thunderstorm activity some areas will escape completely.
Areas impacted will see torrential downpours with possible hail, leading to some spot flooding. The warning is valid from 3pm until midnight tonight.
Judging by the predicted rainfall radar on the Met Éireann website, it looks like west and south Kerry will get the worst of the rain while Tralee will largely escape the worst of the downpours. Click here to go to the Met Éireann website.
