Monday Night
The club met on Monday night 30 October in the Klub Bar, Strand Road. The evening consisted of two and half hours of fun playing Subbuteo “old rules” yes the same players and rules that we played in the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s.
The chosen teams were West Ham, Arsenal, Leeds, Manchester United, Liverpool and Celtic.
After an exciting contest were each team played a league fixture against one another it was Jeff’s West Ham United who triumphed pipping William’s Arsenal “double winners” by 3 points.
Membership | Newcomers
The club meets every 3 weeks at the Klub Bar, Strand Road. All equipment is provided and we would be delighted to see any new players coming along whether you are new to the game or would like to re explore the game after a few years away.
We’d be more than happy to put on a beginners night in the coming weeks were new players could learn the rules and get a feel for the game at a relaxed pace.
The season ahead
2024 will be an exciting year in Irish Table Football with the World Cup taking place in England in September 2024, an Irish circuit of 5 rounds of which we are bidding to bring one leg to Tralee plus an All Ireland competition which this year will be held in Eire.
Our next meeting will be on 20 November and 11 December starting at 19:30.
