LADIES at Tralee Golf Club will ‘Play In Pink’ next month in aid of Breast Cancer Research.

For the last two decades, the Irish Ladies Golf Union has supported the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, based in University Hospital Galway, through golf days hosted by Lady Captains at clubs across the country.

These competitions take the format of open, semi-open, invitation and club. ‘Play in Pink’ has been growing from strength to strength over the last couple of years and has raised hundreds of thousands of euros.

On Wednesday, July 17, ladies at Tralee Golf Club will play in pink to support the event and make a contribution to the Institute.

Some of the lady members joined Lady Captain Fionnuala Mann and Men’s Captain John O’Brien at Pamela Scott’s at Abbeycourt, where manager of the store Gillian Riordan facilitated the ladies by providing pink garments for a promotional photoshoot and gave styling tips.

Fionnuala Mann said all at the club were delighted to help out with fundraising as breast cancer affects the lives of so many people. If you wish to find out more about the event at Tralee Golf Club call 066 713 6379, email info@traleegolfclub.com or go to the website
