traleeparnells 2Training now at Caherslee:

Parents please note, Parnells Friday training 7 to 8pm for U6 to U12 boys and girls along with U14 camogie, will all take place this Friday the 17th in Caherslee.

We are now back in Caherslee every Friday for the summer.

Camogie Blitz:

The 30+ players from CillArd, Killarney and Parnells treated us to an exciting morning’s hurling at the U8/10 girls blitz hosted by Tralee Parnells on Easter Saturday. Indoor training over the winter months showed in displays by Eabha and Lana.

Newcomers, Caoilinn O. and Danielle, demonstrated what assets they are to the club after only a few weeks of training. The diehards, Emma, Ailisha and Jessica, created trouble for the opposition as usual. True to form, Caoilinn H. scored at least one hat trick!

Well done to Richard Mc and Ann Mc for preparing and managing the team Thank you to Na Gaeil and groundskeeper, John Maunsell, for their support. Thank you to The Village Dairy Milkman who sponsored raffle prizes; all proceeds go to the players’ “socks fund”.

Thank you to Donal O’Brien and Brian Lonergan, 2 of our Minor players, who demonstrated sound club leadership by volunteering to referee the matches. Finally, thank you to players’ families who helped out in so many ways on the day. Ni neart go cur le cheile.

Under 14s:

Parnells under 14s are on a break from their league fixtures and hosted Deel Rangers under 14s from Limerick in a challenge match this weekend as we prepare for the Kerry Hurling Féile.  On Saturday April 25th at the Causeway Féile venue, Parnells face Lixnaw at noon and Causeway at 1pm.

Under 16 League:

Parnells U16’s played Kenmare/Kilgarvan in their most recent outing last Thursday.  An early setback left the lads too much to do and it ended 1-14 to 1-06 in favour of  a very good team from South Kerry .
