Tralee Ranked 22nd In Ireland For Work-Life Balance In New Study

TRALEE has been ranked 22nd in the list of towns for a perfect work-life balance in a new study.

Switcher.ie — the free, impartial price comparison and switching service for energy, telecoms and personal finances — carried out the study after the Work-Life Balance Act 2023 was introduced by the government last year.

The study is based on data like access to local amenities, primary schools, major supermarkets and leisure centres, services like broadband speed and mobile coverage, proximity to green spaces and transport routes, plus house prices and crime rates.

Tralee has been ranked 22nd in the list of 50 towns for a perfect work-life balance while Killarney was ranked 23rd. Killarney was also the fifth best town for health and well-being, with above average national parks and gardens.

The study showed the following information for Tralee…

• Average house price:  €242,805
• Major supermarkets per 1000: 0.12
• Leisure centres per 1000:  0.23
• Primary schools per 1000:  0.42
• National & public parks per 1000:  0.23
• Crime rate per 1000:  78.49
• Average broadband speed: 162 Mbps
• Average distance to major routes:  7.90 Km

Castlebar in Mayo was ranked 1st in the study followed by Ballina, Longford, Wexford and Carlow in the top 5. For the full results, click here.
