A WELL-KNOWN Tralee singer has teamed up with recording artist Desi Egan to release a new single to hit the airwaves this Saturday.

Caitriona O’Sullivan, who is a judge on TG4’s series Glór Tíre, has duetted with Egan on the classic Lee Hazelwood/Nancy Sinatra hit ‘Summer Wine’ which is going to radio nationwide this weekend with a new production and sound.

It will be available for release on download on all digital platforms on Friday, July 24. This is the first single from Desi’s second studio album.

“We have a great blend in our voices and I am very pleased to work with Desi on our duet,” said Caitriona, a former Kerry School of Music student who has a first class honours degree in music and Irish and Masters in Music from UCD College Dublin.

Desi Egan said he is delighted to see Caitríona back once again recording as she already had a very successful album  ‘Fallen Angel’ a few years back, with singles playlisted on 2fm, Radio One and regional stations nationwide.

Caitríona also made many appearances performing on shows such as ‘The Phil Coulter Show’ and ‘Up for the Match’ to mention but a few.

She is a prolific song writer and collaborated with producer/arranger John Walsh when she wrote the lyrics as Gaeilge to the Scots Gaelic song ‘Fionnghuala’ a few years ago which featured on the Eir advert.

It was performed on the Late Late Show on RTE and reached No.1 in the World Music Charts on iTunes. Vini Vici and many well renowned DJs have since sampled and remixed the chart-topping tune.
