TWO Tralee teenagers were victorious at the weekend in a county pitch and putt competition and for one of them it was her second major competition win in a matter of weeks.
Ella Moynihan from Farmers Bridge, representing Tralee Golf Club, won the U16 Munster Girls Development Trophy in Charleville on June 28 with a score of 48 points. Ella then followed up that success by winning the U16 Kerry Girls Strokeplay in Pitch and Putt last Saturday.
The competition was held at Ella’s home course in Tralee where she shot a +3 second round score to finish ahead of her younger sister Sophie.

The girls have been playing golf for about four years and 18 months at the pitch and putt, so they’re making great strides in the sports.
Meanwhile, Mark O’Regan from Tralee Pitch and Putt Club was the winner in the Boys Section on Saturday, making it a great day for the young Tralee players.
The teenager from Marian Park won by two shots after he birdied his last two holes on his 2nd round. Well done to all three competitors.
