NOW this really is a great idea and for an even better cause.
Valentines Day falls on a Tuesday this year and for those of you thinking about a night out, Recovery Haven and The Rose Hotel have come up with something very special.
It’s not just for loved-up couples either. In fact they are looking for friends who want a night out, groups from work, etc. to take tickets at their ‘Valentines With A Difference’ event.
Guests will be treated to champagne on arrival, with Dave Rath playing jazz music in the foyer. Then the Lee Suite will host a five course meal created by Head Chef Odran Lucey followed by entertainment. There’ll be chocolates for the gents and a rose for the ladies.

On top of all this, one person from every table (of ten) is guaranteed to win a hamper of goodies – sponsored by local businesses – in the raffle.
The cost? A frankly incredible €30 per ticket, with proceeds going to the great cause of the Recovery Haven who expressed their thanks to The Rose Hotel for their generosity in organising the night and to local businesses for sponsoring the hampers.
