TRALEE’S newest hotel opened its doors to the public today.
The Ashe Hotel on Maine Street let us in for a look this morning and it’s mightily impressive. Formerly The Abbey Gate Hotel, the new business is creating up to 50 jobs in the town.
On entering the doors, visitors are greeted by a wall of archive photos of the town and its people, which is a lovely feature to the entrance.
The bar which used to be on the right is closed off, with a new gastro-pub located to the left of reception, which leads in to a large dining room.
