SOME parts of Tralee are experiencing breaks to the water supply today which may not be restored in some areas until later tonight.
Repairs to a burst water main are causing supply disruptions to Sundays Well, Cuil Feirne, Caherslee, Mounthawk, Ballyroe, Fenit Road, The Spa, Clogherbrien, Strand Street, The Kerries, Ballyrickard, Spa Road, Lohercannon, Kerins Park, Blennerville, Curraheen, Annagh, Tralee and surrounding areas.
As of late Wednesday afternoon, works have an estimated completion time of 10pm tonight. Uisce Éireann say every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible.
Following repair works, it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to fully restore to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network. To check for updates on the Uisce Éireann website click here.
